i love these little year-round birds!

this tufted titmouse bird in flowers painting is the ideal addition to a mantle, side table, desk, or shelf. it can also be hung on the wall by nails (i recommend positioning the nails side by side about an inch apart). the mixed media painting is part of my ongoing objet d'art series: mixed media paintings on birch wood panels framed in interesting vintage and antique frames. i consider the art and the painting as a single work of art, but the painting can be removed from the frame and reframed. the brown wood boho frame dates from the 1970's-hand carved in india.

my work is done by hand from start to finish. the materials are applied layer by layer and then allowed to dry before the next application. this gives the paintings a great amount of depth and detail. materials include vintage paper and postage stamps, handwritten letters from the 1800's and gold leaf.

size is approximately 7" in width and 7" in height. about .5" in depth. painting on birch wood is 4x4".
