whenever i think of you, my heart takes flight!

this original winged heart, red heart with gold wings painting is the ideal addition to a mantle, side table, desk, or shelf. it also has a hanging wire for immediate wall display. i buy all of my wood from a local furniture maker, and i love the opportunity to create something new out of discarded materials. this is a wonderful little piece of irregularly-shaped vintage wood with a lot of texture.

materials are applied layer by layer and then allowed to dry before the next application. this gives the paintings a great amount of depth and detail. the sides and background of this painting are layered candy mint green and white. materials include vintage paper, vintage postage stamps, antique handwritten letters and gold leaf.

size is approximately 9.5" in width and 3.75" in height. about 1" in depth. all of my paintings can be handled. they look great on their own, or buy a bunch and display them together!
