this original painting of a little mouse is the ideal addition to a mantle, side table, desk, or shelf. this textural, mixed media painting is done on a piece of hand carved birch wood and is framed in a beautiful, ornate metal french frame from the 19th century. this easel frame has hinged doors-the painting can be displayed with the doors open, or the mouse can be a little surprise to discover when one opens the doors.

materials are applied layer by layer and then allowed to dry before the next application. this gives the paintings a great amount of depth and detail. materials include handwritten antique letters from the 1800's, vintage postage stamp and 18 karat gold leaf.

size is approximately 5.25" in width when the doors are shut on the frame, and 7" in height. the painting is about .75" in depth. all of my paintings can be handled. they look great on their own, or buy a bunch and display them together! please keep in mind that this frame is an antique and should be handled with care to avoid damage. it should not be treated as a toy (the metal has sharp edges). the painting can easily be removed through the back of the frame. the painting has been signed on the back.
