in honor of the little eastern screech owl i discovered this winter on two separate days. it made me so happy!

this original cute little screech owl bird painting is the ideal addition to a mantle, side table, desk, or shelf. it also has a hanging hook for immediate wall display. this textural, mixed media painting is done on a high-quality birch wood panel. i occasionally use birch wood panels for their lightweight durability.

the materials are applied layer by layer and then allowed to dry before the next application. this gives the paintings a great amount of depth and detail. sides of the painting are the layered mint green and white behind the owl. materials include vintage paper, vintage postage stamps, gold leaf and antique handwritten letters.

size is approximately 4x4" in height. the painting is about 1.5" in depth. all of my paintings can be carefully handled. they look great on their own, or buy a bunch and display them together!
