the painting size is 3x3" and can be readily removed from the frame. the distressed wood frame has a lot of nice texture. the peg that allows the framed art to sit on a flat surface can be removed for wall display. frame in an antique khaki green tone. overall size of the piece (with frame) is 4.5x4.5". depth is .75". I recommend displaying in indirect light to protect the art over time.
