this original bunny rabbit portrait painting is framed in a black forest antique carved wood easel frame from the 1800s. the mixed media painting is done on hand carved birch wood.

this gorgeous carved frame has an incredible amount of detail on both the frame and the stand. carving includes leaves and vines with lot of texture. please note this frame has some wear, but given its age it is in fantastic shape.

part of my objet d'art series, i consider the artwork and the frame one piece-the art was created for this particular frame. however, the paintings can be removed from the back of the frame should you choose to reframe it. please display the piece in indirect light to protect the art.

what makes this painting special: materials include 18k gold leaf, book lining from the 1800s, vintage postage, antique handwritten letter from the 1800s.
