this original painting of a miniature barn owl is the ideal addition to a mantle, side table, desk, or shelf. this textural, mixed media painting is done on a piece of cut wood from an Amish fence post, found on a farm in Virginia.

materials are applied layer by layer and then allowed to dry before the next application. this gives the paintings a great amount of depth and detail. the owl is painted on cotton canvas. materials include handwritten antique letters from the 1800's, vintage postage stamps and gold leaf.

size is approximately 3.5" in width and 3.5" in height. the painting is about 1.5" in depth.
