this original woman with lovebird portrait painting is the ideal addition to a mantle, side table, desk, or shelf. it also has hanging wire for immediate wall display. this painting is done on an lightweight birch wood art panel. i enjoy using these panels on occasion because of their durability and texture. no need for framing-the sides of the painting are finished so that is can be hung upon arrival.
unlike a lot of artwork offered today, my work is done by hand from start to finish. the materials are applied layer by layer and then allowed to dry before the next application. this gives the paintings a great amount of depth and detail. sides of the painting are layered deep red and metallic bronze. inspired by 1930's glamour and art nouveau, the painting is whimsical with a touch of ornate elegance.
size is approximately 18" in width and 24" in height. about 1.5" in depth. all of my paintings can be handled. they look great on their own, or buy a bunch and display them together.
