this original sparrows birds flock painting is the ideal addition to a mantle, side table, desk, or shelf. it also has a hook for immediate wall display. this textural, mixed media painting is done on a piece of reclaimed wood. i buy all of my wood from a local furniture maker, and am never sure what he is going to sell me, which adds to the creative inspiration. this particular piece features a cluster of male and female house sparrows. my studio is surrounded by them year-round-they are always there to inspire!

materials are applied layer by layer and then allowed to dry before the next application. this gives the paintings a great amount of depth and detail. the sides of the painting are layered tones of light blue and marina blue.

size is approximately 6.75" in width, and 7.5" in height. the painting is about .75" in depth. all of my paintings can be handled. they look great on their own, or buy a bunch and display them together!
